Food Adventures at Cochon Butcher

AJ Nash 2/3/18

Recently we stopped by Cochon Butcher at 930 Tchoupitoulas St in the warehouse district. Its way worth your time! Located next to the flagship restuarant Cochon, this is the simpler deli style lunch stop they opened a couple years ago. We ordered up some favorites from the past and added a couple new dishes. The most notable thing is always the Mac and cheese, the best in town. It comes out nice and golden brown with a crispy top. The Gambino sandwich is my new favorite. Classic Italian style made with house-cured meats. The sautéed rapini with soft poached egg was a great new addition to the sides category. Overall this place never disappoints, add a local brew to your order and thats a proper New Orleans lunch! Go check it out and tell them that Nola Kayak Tours sent you, so we can get that bacon hook!
